Hi Vaharesh, I’m Talonos the author of the wow-heroes and the realm progress blocks on your portal. just informing you that i messaged you on the sdite where you got the links for them (teksonicmods.com) that i’ve done an update to the wow-heroes block to fix some linking issues and also i see you are using the wowprogress progression images. have a look at my demo site and tell me what you think of the one i’ve made to work with guildox.com (http://demo.pretereo-stormrage.co.uk/board2) i’m hoping to get an initial release out for it this weekend and i’m willing to let you give it a go if you like. its fully customisable to display only the blocks you want and colors can be changed too all from the ACP!

    Updated with current website:

Might I just say sir it’s an honor and a privilege to have you stop by our little corner of the internet.

And yeah, i noticed the wowheroes links to stormrage instead of the server listed in the ACP. Though I didn’t see it as a huge issue, but i should’ve reported it to you anyway.

And yeah, i’d be happy to beta some stuff for you. I used to use your recruitment and raid progress blocks back for the previous board portal. But the newest version won’t work with the custom includes. I almost thought about trying to find a way to port the one from Enjin. Though it would be nice to just tell the ACP the guild and server and it pull progress instead of having to manually list it.

thats what my plan was BUT theres no 100% way of doing it as blizzard api doesn’t just list bosses killed all the info guildox and wowprogress use is scrapped from each and every guild member. i think after i’ve finished and released the gujildox module i’ll start working on the new recruitment module. it will take time to do as the whole thing needs rebuilding to work with the new acp system. i’ve got to nip out and do some shopping but when i get back i’ll sort out the guildox module for you to test. also it looks like disabled your portal atm. i don’t know if thats right or not but i cant see it atm.

It may be an issue with the rank I bumped you to, its seldom used. I’ll fix it.

As for the kills box, I know wowprogress wow-heroes and guild ox all scrap from indíviduals. But I was thinking of importing the feed. If I remember wowprogess has an rss option. If a php script just took the rss info to mark kills. And or read the kills after the webite gathers the individuals info. you’d have the raw data, then it would just need css to display it in the box as an include.

thats ok for current progression but useless for previous patch progression. whole idea of the progression block is to show progression over that expansion as it will display the dates for the kills and people can confirm them with the stored dates on site like guildox and such. like i said it will be a full rebuild with the same layout but reformated ACP to fit the new board3 systems. it will make it so much more easier for updating when new raids are released and so on.

Wait, previous patch content is still considered progression? Lol

HEY…. here’s a thought. What about iframe? If you have it working for board 2, can the export be iframed into a new block instead of writing the include?

    So here is a question…

In your new progress block you linked me. since the newer portal doesn’t require editing the portal_left.ect to add includes…

Do you think it would work if I Iframed the raidprogress/panda_raid_progress.html file into a custom block and just let it parse the html?

well in theory it should work in a way but iframs use a lower than base setting and the tool tips wouldn’t work the right way as they would not display OVER items but under as the tooltips would be on a different frame itself. also the file includes would have to be done via the phpbb includes for it to work properly which i don’t think would be very safe to use in an iframe.
